Augmax Pty Ltd (ACN 674 064 932, ABN 32 674 064 932) (“Augmax”, “we”, “us”) is an Australian private company based in South Australia. Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to us, we handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What we collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities.

We do not ask for sensitive information unless it is necessary for a purpose you have requested — for example, an accessibility adjustment for a workshop.

2. How we collect it

Usually directly from you: through forms on this site, email, phone calls, video meetings and workshops. Where your employer engages us, we may receive your name and work contact details from them to arrange an agreed service.

• To respond to enquiries and arrange conversations.
• To plan and deliver agreed workshops and advisory services.
• To provide, secure and support workspace access.
• To send the Augmax briefing, if you have subscribed.
• To improve our services and this website.
• To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Direct marketing

We only send the Augmax briefing to people who have opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works, and we action unsubscribes promptly. You can also email privacy@augmax.info to opt out of all marketing at any time. This is consistent with APP 7 and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

6. Who we disclose to

We disclose personal information only where necessary:

• Your employer, where they have engaged us — including information needed to coordinate the service they commissioned.
• Service providers who host, secure or operate our systems (hosting, email delivery, video conferencing, analytics), under contract and only for those purposes.
• Professional advisers and insurers where reasonably required.
• Authorities, where we are required or authorised by law.

7. Overseas disclosure

We use service providers, including Google (Firebase Hosting and Google Workspace), to host this website and manage booking and email arrangements. These providers may store or process personal information on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps consistent with APP 8 to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs, including relying on the provider’s contractual and security commitments.

8. Security and retention

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and encryption in transit, and we limit access to personnel who need it to do their job. We review these measures periodically as our services evolve.

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, to provide services, handle disputes, meet legal obligations and maintain appropriate business records.

• Enquiries and booking details: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Job applications: up to 12 months after the recruitment process ends, then securely deleted.
• Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.
• Financial records: for the period required by applicable law.

When information is no longer needed we destroy or de-identify it.

9. Cookies and this website

This site uses strictly necessary storage to remember your cookie choice and keep the site working. Analytics and marketing cookies are only used if you consent, and nothing non-essential runs before you make a choice. Full detail — including how to change or withdraw consent — is in our cookie policy.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email privacy@augmax.info. We aim to respond within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request; any permitted access charge would be discussed with you first.

If we refuse access or correction, we will explain our decision and how you may complain.

11. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled personal information, email privacy@augmax.info with the details. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 business days and resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the OAIC.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

12. Data breaches

We maintain a data breach response plan. If a breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the OAIC as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

13. Changes to this policy

From 10 December 2026, APP 1.7 to 1.9 add privacy-policy disclosure requirements for certain significant decisions made using computer programs and personal information. Augmax will assess whether any service it operates falls within those rules and update this policy before they apply.

We may update this policy from time to time. The version and date at the top of this page will change, and material changes will be highlighted on this page for at least 30 days.
